Questionnaires for selecting chemical protective clothing and protective clothing against biological agents

The questionnaire for selecting PPE from the 3S-Arbeitsschutz GmbH product range is a service provided by the manufacturer to help you identify the appropriate product rapidly from many others. This service draws on our experience of more than 25 years in the field of protective clothing and on the large store of knowledge available to 3S-Arbeitsschutz GmbH. The products of 3S-Arbeitsschutz GmbH have been put together in response to user demand and therefore provide a measure of the most common exposure types and levels on the market. These standard solutions cannot always be used for exposures deviating from the norm. In these cases, 3S-Arbeitsschutz GmbH proposes direct co-operation with the user, in the aim of developing suitable protective clothing for the application. The questionnaire is designed to ensure that the right protective clothing from the 3S-Arbeitsschutz GmbH product range is chosen for the expected exposure.

For this reason, the following information is requested:

• full description of the substance(s) that can come into contact with the protective clothing
• method of handling these substances
• form of expected exposure and anticipated exposure points on the body
• the question concerning the PPE currently used is a form of validity check for the selection or exposure description. The answers in this field are not necessarily important for product selection.

If the questions are correctly and fully answered, 3S-Arbeitsschutz GmbH can compare this information with the technical data of 3S products and identify the most probable PPE from the 3S product portfolio for the specified exposure.

However, the final decision on using the recommended PPE must be taken by the user.
